Quality Controls

Our Quality Controls can be used for either manual or automated systems:

  • Hemo-QC, a simulated whole blood control intended for the daily quality control of routine blood bank reagents used in semi-automated and automated blood typing and antibody screening test systems.

  • C3 Control Cells, used to confirm the efficacy of Anti-Human Globulin containing anti-complement.

Potentiators

Potentiators are used to enhance or accelerate the sensitization phase in the hemagglutination assay. We offer two:

  • HBS-PEG XG

Eluate Kit

Hemo bioscience's ELUclear is a glycine acid red cell elution kit. Its intended use is to dissociate (elute) IgG antibodies from red cell membranes so that they can be identified using standard serological techniques. The eluting solution and buffering solution are supplied in color-coded dropper vials for ease of use and to help prevent contamination.

Our new HBS Lectin Kit is designed for use in the serological investigation of the major forms of polyagglutinability. It is comprised of two lectin reagents, Arachis hypogea and Glycine soja.

Anti-A1 Lectin

Hemo bioscience Anti-A1 Lectin is an in vitro diagnostic reagent derived from Dolichos biflorus seeds that specifically binds to the carbohydrate structure that defines the A1 antigen on the surface of red blood cells. It is primarily used for the differentiation of the A1 antigen, A2 antigen, and other weak A subgroup antigens.
